When you post content on LinkedIn, make sure you stay engaged. Stay alert for notifications and comments. Engage with those who commented by quickly replying. If someone liked your content but didn’t comment, reach out to thank them and ask what was it about the post that resonated with them. If you’re quick to respond to comments on your LinkedIn posts, you’ll be surprised to see how much the engagement can boost lead satisfaction and the likelihood of new clients.

Ask a question to get the conversation going; otherwise, it’s just a comment.   Social Sales Link

Mentions in Other People’s Content

When your name is tagged in LinkedIn content, use it as an opportunity to engage. You can reply to the commenter within the comments or send a private message. Thank them for mentioning you, especially if they are credible, and share any comments relevant to the post topic. If you don’t know the person who mentioned you, use it as an opportunity to engage with them by asking why they mentioned you. You might find yourself connecting with a future home buyer or seller client.

New Job

We’ve all seen new job notifications from LinkedIn when our connections move around in the professional sector. “Larry just accepted a new job at XYZ company.” Like me, you probably congratulate them and add a short comment. By stepping it up a bit, you’ll improve your chances of starting a conversation. You could mention how lucky the company is to have them and how they’ll make a difference, or ask them to share some details about their new job.

A couple of weeks later, you could send them a private message asking how the new job is going. Better yet, send a video message.

Another tactic is to find out who took over their old position and connect with that person. You never know when these conversations will spark a connection that gains you a new client.

LinkedIn Suggested Content

LinkedIn’s algorithm will suggest content based on people, topics, groups, and hashtags you’re following. Suggested content provides another opportunity to connect with people who share the same interests. By engaging with LinkedIn’s suggested content, you can grow your sphere of people and attract more clients.

These suggestions are just a few ways you can engage with others on LinkedIn and build connections with leads and future clients. You can also comment on birthdays and reach out to anyone who viewed your profile. Go ahead and open LinkedIn, and look at your notifications (I had 33 today!). A future client awaits you!
