Best Halloween Costumes Inspired By 2019 Movies

It's that time of year when you start thinking about what you want to be for Halloween. Do you want to be something scary, sweet and innocent, creative, funny?  You have an endless number of options to choose from. Whatever you fancy, here are some great costume ideas born from popular 2019 movies.

Brittany Costume
Brittany Runs a Marathon

This comedy featured a New Yorker whose partying starts to catch up to her. She decides to face reality and sets a goal to run a marathon. This might be one of the easiest costumes to throw together. A blonde wig, bright, baggy sweatshirt, t-shirt, brightly colored shoes and a good sense of humor will be enough for friends to guess who you are portraying. Or dress up as the "after" version of Brittany in a bright, fitted t-shirt, black leggings, and a marathon number pinned to your shirt.

Kid Shazam
Shazam!

Shazam received a 91% rotten tomatoes rating, entertained us with humor and left us feeling like we could make a positive difference in the world. For kids and adults, this costume is sure to elicit positive vibes at any Halloween gathering. TIP: Get the version that lights up!

Rubie Avenger
Avengers: Endgame

Endgame didn't disappoint as the Avengers delivered an epic ending to the Infinity Saga. Costumes are available for a multitude of characters including supervillain Thanos, a genetically engineers byproduct of the Eternals.

Hiccup How to Train Your Dragon
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

The latest How to Train Your Dragon movie was a favorite among kids. Many dragon costumes exist, but Hiccup takes the lead. Get to your local costume store or order online soon or you might be left holding a stuffed dragon...

Spiderman Costume
Spider-Man: Far From Home

The ever-popular Spider-Man made another appearance this year and continued to win over fans. This costume can be found in most costume stores and online. If you can't find or afford the costume, go as the "before" version of Spider-Man (blue and white flannel shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, tan pants, and a blue backpack). See if your friends can figure out which character you are!

Mr. Links costume
Missing Link

In Missing Link, Mr. Link, an 8 foot tall, furry character charmed crowds with his big heart and adorable personality. Buy the mask then head to a local secondhand store to find pieces for the rest of your costume (a teal shirt, yellow plaid jacket, green bow tie and black top hat).

Have a great time dressing up for Halloween, with the ideas listed above, and you're sure to make a lasting impression on your friends. Many costumes can be purchased locally or order online through sites like Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, Herostime, or Costume Super Center.  Happy Halloween!  Be safe out there.
