Imagine buying your first house and living with your fiancé as you prepare to get married.  As you settle in and unpack your belongings, the new place starts to feel more like home.  After a couple of weeks, you notice that you and your fiance are arguing a lot.  Odd, that was never part of your relationship before, and you chalk it up to living together for the first time.  After putting some thought into it, you realize that you don’t fight outside of the house.

“I heard a child laughing (at me?) and heavy footsteps.”

One day, you’re in the basement unpacking the last of your boxes.  Suddenly you hear a child laughing and heavy footsteps.  You walk upstairs to investigate, but there’s no one there.  Back in the basement, you heard laughter again, and it sounded like it was mocking you.

On another night, you’re by yourself and hear the toilet flush.  You go into the bathroom but see nothing, so you return to the living room and resume watching tv.  You hear the toilet flush again and hear a little girl laughing.  This time, you check the bathroom and see nothing, but at the end of the hallway, you can see the silhouette of a little girl.  You quickly turn the hall light on, but no one is there.  You feel like you’re losing your mind.

A day later, both of you are at home in the evening.  You’re in separate rooms; one is watching tv in the living room, and the other is in the bedroom.  You fall asleep watching tv and wake up when you hear someone say, “wake up.”  You’re startled and call out to your fiancée.  She opens the door and rushes in, asking if everything is alright.  Randomly, the door slams shut.  You scream!

“I bought groceries yesterday, and now all the food is spoiled.”

A few days later, you look in the fridge and see that all the food is rotten.  Your fiancée tells you that she just bought it the day before.  You go to the grocery store and buy new food.  That night, you open the fridge to find the fresh food rotten.

Another night you walk into the kitchen together to find the refrigerator wide open and food, pots, and pans scattered everywhere.  You figure someone was in the house, but no one else was there.  Suddenly a pan on the stove shakes violently.

Another day, you’re listening to music while cleaning.  Suddenly the music stops.  You look at the computer where you’re playing the music and realize that the volume has been turned off.  Turning it back up, you resumed cleaning only to have the volume drop again and again before giving up and leaving the music off.

Then, you’re brushing your teeth before bedtime and hear laughter from a little girl.  You run to see in the direction of the laughter.  Then, you see a little girl briefly as she runs into the kitchen.  When you get to the kitchen, no one’s there.  You realize it’s time to move out of the house.

After dealing with a crazy amount of frightening activity in the house, the homeowners decided it was time to call in a paranormal investigator.  The investigator discovered bad energy and a demonic voice.  A week later, the couple moved out of the house.  That was in 2019.  To this day, it remains empty.
